1. Acceptance of terms
By registering for or using Rivo ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to the Rivo web dashboard and the Rivo Agent Android application.
2. Description of service
Rivo is a SaaS platform that reads mobile money SMS alerts from Android devices and presents them as a real-time transaction dashboard. The Service is designed for Zambian mobile money agent network operators to monitor their agents' transactions and float balances.
3. Account registration
You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@rivo.co.zm if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Permitted use
You may use Rivo solely for lawful business purposes. You must not:
- Use the Service to monitor individuals without their knowledge and consent
- Install the Rivo Agent app on a device you do not own or that belongs to an employee who has not consented
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose under Zambian law
- Share your account credentials with unauthorised parties
5. Agent consent
You are responsible for obtaining the informed consent of any agent whose device you install the Rivo Agent app on. The agent must be aware that their mobile money SMS messages will be read and transmitted to your Rivo dashboard. Installing the app on a device without consent of the device owner is a violation of these terms and may be unlawful.
6. Subscription and billing
Rivo is offered on a subscription basis. Plans, pricing, and agent limits are as shown on the pricing page at the time of sign-up.
- Free trial: New accounts receive a 14-day free trial on the Starter plan. No payment is required to start.
- Billing: After your trial, a subscription is required to continue using the Service beyond the free tier limits. Payment is processed by Lenco.
- Renewals: Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled.
- Refunds: We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 7 days.
- Plan changes: You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing period.
7. Data accuracy
Rivo parses SMS messages automatically using pattern recognition. While we aim for high accuracy, we cannot guarantee that every transaction is parsed correctly. You should:
- Review the "Unknown SMS" queue for messages that could not be parsed automatically
- Verify critical transactions in your mobile money network's official portal
- Not rely solely on Rivo data for financial reconciliation without independent verification
We are not liable for financial decisions made based on inaccurate transaction data.
8. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability and will endeavour to notify users in advance for planned downtime.
9. Intellectual property
The Rivo platform, including its software, design, and content, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without written permission.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, fail to pay your subscription, or engage in conduct that could harm the Service or other users. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at hello@rivo.co.zm.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Zambian law, Rivo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of business, revenue, or data.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Zambia.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.
